Question about Nikon COOLPIX L3 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Canon PowerShot Pro1

Hello:
I have just bought a "Canon PowerShot Pro1". I have not received the camera yet, however, if the person told it right and tested it correctly, the problem is that, even with a fully charged battery, it will show the message that the battery has to be recharged or changed.
I have searched on the NET for such a problem with this camera, but have not so far found anything.
Thanks for your help.

    Hi:
    Thanks for the tips...
Well, I have no way to know, since I do not have the camera. I have some batteries, I believe like that already. These were bought for another Canon, but they also fit my daughter's Canon 30D.

    Hello:
I bought an adapter to run the camera with out the battery, it works great. I am ordering new batteries (extra one).
Also: This particular kind of camera needs the BP-511A from Canon or other supplier, and it may help that the amperage is as high as you can find. I found some on Ebay which are 2000mAh, and also are $7.48 with free s/h I also chose not to have insurance, which saved another $6.00 per item. The normal batteries run about 1300 mAh and may not last long on this kind of camera.
    Take care,

    Hi:
I have sent the camera to Canon for repair. It is not free, but because I used an adapter and then tried to use a battery, the camera would not detect the battery, thus decided to have it fixed, some internal problem, it seemed.
Even though I have calculated that the repair is on the boarder of paying too much, it will still be a great camera. And the nice thing it should be like a new camera.
This camera sells for up to almost $500.00 on Ebay used, and my repair is costing $157.00 plus what I paid for the broken unit $74.00. So it should give some good use.

    Thanks,

It probably has a battery that can't hold a charge to it and needs to be replaced. Those batteries can be purchased at Canon using this link:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=256&modelid=9823#SNAModelSuppliesAct

You might be able to find a less expensive one on EBay, Radio Shack, or Batteries +

My Canon Powershot Pro1 will not accept the memory card. The screen flashes "Memory Card Error" every time I turn it on.

Your camera uses a Compact Flash card so it's asking you to format the card.
Here is a diagram to show you were to go and the process for formatting the memory card

Hi.. Can you tell me as to what is the maximum CF memory card that can be used with Canon Powershot Pro1

When this model came out a 1GB card was a large capacity card, so Canon's specifications stop there. I talked with a friend who has used a 4GB card in a Pro 1, and it's possible that it may work with capacities even larger than that. But I think you will be able to use a 4GB without problems.

Need to download pics from canon powershot pro1 camera but lost cd

Go to the internet and google canon site in your area.
From the site, there is a support & download section. Down load the latest version of Zoom Browzer meant for your model of camera. here is the link:

Canon powershot pro1 will not turn on

You have to try another battery to know for sure if it is bad. I have three batteries so that I can rotate while I am working with the camera.
