Question about LG WM2688H Front Load Washer
After the washing cycle is done I open up the detergent compartment to add detergent for the next load, and I find it full of water. Am I doing something wrong, maybe I should be adjusting the spin cycle.
Mine just recently started doing this. The liquid soap tray has a removable white piece in it. The white piece creates a siphon that is supposed to cause the cup to drain. Mine recently got some weird white globs in it, possibly from detergent that froze. I'm thinking of putting the cup and white piece (separated) in the dishwasher on a sanitize cycle to try to remove this weird goop. (Feels like grease.)
The downside to this water being in the cup, in my washer, is that the water will spill over and instead of rolling back into the wash drum it will spill out the front of the washer. It makes a mess.
One solution I've been considering is to just use powdered detergent. Apparently it's better for the machine and the clothes?

I think this is normal. Mine does too.
