This link will start your Open Office download. There is no quick and easy this is how you make a presentation. Learning power point is not very difficult it is like any other program when you get open office installed click on presentation. That is the program you will use, you just make slides and then you put text and pictures in those slides.
I hope this helps it doesn't take very long to start making a basic slide show.
Thanks again,
Lee

I'm a guru!=) how do you think I knew you lived in the UK hehe. No the mum thing gave it away. Just alot of messing around with things really. Taking chances and messing with peoples broken stuff so you don't have to worry. With computers you just use the stuff and learn it with tutorials.
    Thanks again,
    Lee

Actually it is inappropriate to rate this inappropriate as you never even gave me a chance as this is a whole new problem. If you want to pay a lot of money for powerpoint by all means go ahead. You are in the wrong program. there are different programs.

If you look for the program called impress it should be in your programs list in open office. It comes with writer(which is what you are referring to), calc, impress(which is powerpoint like you output your presentations to .SWF any computer with flash player will play it), base, draw and math. So look for the program called Impress if you need help using the computer you may want to ask someone, or refer to the tutorial links I sent you.
If you still can't find it let me know. You should ask your teacher how she expects you to do this sort of thing without having the software.
Keep me updated and I hope you will correct the rating as I have been nothing but helpful.
    Thanks,
    Lee

How does a dew point hygrometer work?

A dew-point hygrometer uses a metal mirros to catch moisture from the air to tell you the dew point, at what temperature the condensation appears is the dew point. For a better and more clear explanation see http://www.ehow.com/list_7153637_types-hygrometers.html

Dew detected

If you contact Panasonic, they will say to remove the tape, use a hair dryer (low setting) for about 5 minutes and then leave it opened overnight.

or you can try

to put the camera in a plastic bag with the tape door open and insert a silica gel bag (that you find in shoe boxes). Close the plastic bag and leave it overnight. The next morning, the video camera should start working! This is something that an owner tried that worked without the manufacturer's help.

Hope it works for you, too.

Let me know if you need anything else

Bypassing dew sensor on a Sharp VL-Z7 mini DV

- the solder joints to the DEW Sensor were "cold joints" which means that the solder joint is defective - is not a sound joint. This means that with temperature variation, the solder joint can intermittently separate and break the circuit, causing the DEW Indicator to come on and completely shut down the camera. The first problem I had with the camera was on a cold day, so it seemed to make sense.

Here is a picture from the perspective of the tape cover being at the top of the picture and the rest of the camera at the bottom. The dew sensor will be on your left.

go to:
http://omlets.tripod.com/sharpdew.jpg
Then, get a real slim soldering iron with a fine point. Open the tape cover and take the tape out. Get a strong light to shine down into the mechanism.

If your camera is like mine was, you may see a brownish material on or around the solder joint - this is flux used in soldering which was applied too heavily, and not heated long enough to burn off. The joint therefore doesn't quite connect the dew sensor to the terminal post - depending upon heat/cold ambient conditions, sometimes it makes contact and sometimes it doesn't .

Heat up the soldering iron - make certain the point is tinned (has a thin film of solder on it). Carefully just touch each solder joint for a couple of seconds - just enough for it to melt, and then quickly remove the soldering iron. You don't want to leave the iron in contact with the solder too long or it may melt other insulation around the terminal. This all probably sounds more complicated than it really is - but it really is just a 5 minute operation. If you've not done much soldering, and feel uncomfortable about trying it, you may want to take it to a radio, tv or computer repair shop and ask them to do it for you.

Dew problem

Thats great that you are technician. This dew sensor locates near video head assy area. you need to find it urself. this sensor looks like black carbon pattern on white cemented plate or yellowish flexible base. Main thing is it has only 2 points and can be recognise easily. just remove it and place 1k or 820 ohms resistor there. I am not sure about resistor value because it depends on circuit requirement. Hope this info helps you out.

Flashing "DEW" Indicator shutting down the viewcam

I don't know if this will help, but when I leave the camera open with no tape in it for a day or so, "dew" goes away. Now I just store it open without a tape in it and have never had this problem again.

Hope this helps.

I get the DEW indication and cam shuts off

try to dry up your camera using electric hair blower drier, dew is present inside your camera, but dont overheat the unit, place your hand between drier and cam to make sure you are not overheating it. if the trouble is still there, the sensor is defective and you need pro fix.

Dont know why it is saying DEW

The DEW error is a known dry-joint manufacturing flaw on the camera's PCB. I solved my DEW problem by resoldering the electrical contacts on the dew sensor and my camera has been perfect since (was useless before). Soldering the sensor wires is quite tricky as you have to dismantle the camera to reach them but a decent hifi repair shop shoud be able to it for you. The dew sensor is in the lower right hand corner if you look inside the open tape compartment door.
