I think you only have the card? Or perhaps you still have the camera, but lost the cables and the CD that came with the camera. It must be like 12 or 13 years of age now.
I discovered that my card readers do not have any slot to put in a Smart Media disk.
If you still have the cable and CD that came with the camera, you can get the pictures off the card by connecting the camera to the PC.
If nothing works, if you can't buy a card reader, and there are important pictures on the card, take it to a photo shop. My guess the still have card readers for all existing cards. They can print the photos but also can put them on CD for you. With only 4 Mbyte on the card, the CD will look like empty, but you have your pictures electronically.

Have ricoh caplio rr660 have 3 photos in camera memory. How do I transfer them to memory card, do not have a PC cord

In the picture viewing mode of your menu, look for an entry for "copy". It should provide you with the option to copy from the internal memory to the camera card.

I need to get my Ricoh RDC-5000 digital camera hooked up with my acer laptop with windows XP home edition

You can download the driver from here
http://www.ricoh.com/r_dc/download/softmatch/winxp/rdc-5.html
Download the USB driver for windows XP, extract it like you have doen before and install it. Dont forget that you have to connect the camera and keep it on while installing the driver.

Hope that helps,
Sai.

Booting the RDC-7

The camera is dead now if the wrong upgrade was used there is no undoing it. Plus the fact it is six years old. Money better spent on getting a modern camera because no repairs are possible.

Memory card format.

The Polaroid PDC 700 digital camera accommodates an optional, Type 1 ATA compatible CompactFlash memory card up to 48MB. When an unformatted memory card is installed in the camera, it is automatically formatted when the camera is powered on. WARNING: Once you format the flash memory or format a memory card, all images are erased and cannot be retrieved - they are gone forever! Before you format (erase) the flash memory or format a memory card, transfer the images to your computer.

Memory card?

The PDC 700 digital camera has 4 MB of internal flash memory on which to store images. An optional ATA-compatible Type 1 CompactFlash memory card gives your camera substantially more memory, allowing you to store more images or images of higher quality. images captured on the CompactFlash card can be downloaded using the same method as you use to download photos from the internal memory.
