All in one

I went to use my scan and noticed that the all in one center is not in my programs and it never has been. How do I fix it

When I try to scan to file via Control Center 3, I receive a message that says:


I had this same irritating issue - after uninstalling and re-installing several times I decided to check the folders to see if there was any remaining Brother folders or files hanging around. First I went to the Windows Twain32 folder and removed the remaining folder in there - then I went to Programs files (both of them in Windows 7) and moved all Brother Folders AND Control Center folders to a created folder on the desktop (just in case) - reinstalled the software and it worked! Hope this helps someone because I tried all the other fixes and they did not work for me.

My printer will not print. It scans fine to a file. I have checked the cables numerous times, pulling them out and reconnecting them. Have rebooted the computer and still nothing. There seems to be a...


Have you tried going to Dell and downloading the drivers for it? I had an A920 until a couple of weeks ago so know that every once in awhile, for no reason, it quits working. Mine would print but not scan! I went to Dell, downloaded updated drivers and this seemed to fix the problem. I had to do the scanning through the program, not by pushing the buttons, tho.

Will not scan documents to file


Check the custom settings of control center. Click on control center 2 to open the scanning software. Right click on the button you are trying to scan with and look at the settings. Notice boxes for the default location of the files when sent. You can also indicate whether the program asks where to save it before it scans the document.

I can't scan to computer to email letter


1.Open HP Solution Center, if it is not already open:
◦Windows XP or 2000: Click Start , click All Programs , point to HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
◦Windows Vista: Click the Windows icon, click All Programs , point to HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
HP Solution Center opens in a new window.
2.In HP Solution Center, click Settings , and then click Scan to...Setup . The Front Panel Destination List Setup window opens.
3.From the Available Scan Destination list, click the program you want to be the scanning destination(Email), and then click the Add button. The program moves to the Front Panel Destination list.
NOTE: You can also move the program to the top of the Front Panel Destination to scan to that destination automatically.
4.If you do not want to change any other settings, click OK to close the Front Panel Destination List Setup window.

I was scanning several pictures for a project. I did not save the scans. I went to cancel a scan and my computer is froze in the canceling mode. Is there a way to fix this problem without me losing all my...


Try to cancel it in the task manager by pressing the ctrl+alt+del. Select the scanner program. And select end task.

Your solution is to scan it by batch. Put all the pictures and save it before proceeding another scan. You can't cancel the program while scanning.

Wanting to scan from scanner to computer


this happened to me too. i don't know how to fix it on the printer, but i scanned it through the computer. i went into the hp solution center, went to the scanning section, and told the printer to scan it from the computer. it worked fine. that way you don't have to save it to a memory card or anything. they went to the same folder all my other scans go to.

Why wont it scan?


If you are getting this message when you are trying to scan from the All-In-One.

And If the software is successfully installed in your computer, then you should have a icon in your desktop as HP Solution /HP Director (if not got to Start> All Programs>
HP> HP Solution Center)/HP Director Then try scanning from there, if you are able to scan from there then try the steps bellow.
Open solution center> Settings> Scan settings> Scan to setup> Then in this window click on Restore defaults> Then apply or ok and close all the windows and try to scan from the
All-In-One printer.
If it still does not work then try the bellow steps:
Go to:
My computer>C:windows>system32
Copy hpzipm12
minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
minimize this window.
Go back to My computer>C:>windows>system32
Copy hpzinw12
minimize this window

Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Now you will see two new files in Startup
Now go to My Computer>C:Program Files>HP>Digital Imaging>bin>
Copy hpqtra08
close this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Restart the computer
Open Hp Solution Center> Settings>Scan settings and preferences> Scan to button>
check destination list> if available applications are not in the destination list then add them in the front panel destination
Tried to scan.

How to Scan
Scanning Single-page Documents or Photos
  1. Turn on your computer and printer, and make sure they are connected.
  2. Load your original document or photo.

  11. Place the next sheet on the scanner glass, and click Yes. Repeat until you finish scanning all pages.
  12. Click No when asked for another page.
    The program opens with the multiple pages scanned.

Can not scan to computer


hi,

below are the steps that i want you to follow. The "NO SCAN OPTIONS" refer to the absence of options when you try to scan using the printer button your printer. However, if you are going to scan from the SOlution center installed in your computer, it will scan without any problem.

Step two: Populate the destination list The destination list must be populated in order for the Scan To function to work. Follow these steps to populate the destination list.
  1. Open the HP Solution Center. Use one of the following methods to open the HP Solution Center.
    • On the Windows desktop, double-click the HP Solution Center icon.
    • On the taskbar, click Start , Programs , or All Programs , click HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
    If more than one HP device is installed, click the tab for the All-in-One product. The HP Solution Center shows only the functions, settings, and support options that are appropriate for the selected HP product.
  2. Click Settings .
  3. Click Scan Settings and Preferences .
  4. Click Scan to... Setup .
  5. Click the Destination List tab.
    NOTE: Depending on the computer performance, it can take several minutes for the Front Panel Destination List to populate after the printer or computer is turned on.
  6. If the Front Panel Destination List is empty, continue with this procedure. If the Front Panel Destination List contains valid scan destinations, proceed to step three to uninstall and reinstall the software.
  7. Click each program to include on the Scan To list.
  8. Click the Add arrow.
  9. Click OK .
  10. Scan a document using the Scan To button on the front panel.
  11. If the scan fails, try to scan using the HP Solution Center Scan button. If the scan still fails, please let me know.

Scanning


My Photosmart 2575 v has worked fine as well for over a year and now it won't scan. I get the same message: "Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot". I ran all updates and they said I have them all and everything is working perfectly. It's not though. I still can't scan. I tried their work-around by opening paint and then acquring image from the scanner but that does not work either.
