Look in the installtion CD. You must get the serial no.
Try following:
in the installtion CD, search for serial.txt or search for all files with .doc / .txt extension. One of those files will have the serial no.

Try this. Sometimes the CD info gets messed up in the system registry. This little utiltity usually fixes it. Unless the CD has gone bad, that is.

I bought a new PC game "Mystery 5 Collection" and

The problem is most likely that you do not have a DVD reader installed in your PC. If you look on the front of you cd-rom it will say DVD if it can read DVD's. Most stores will not give you a refund for software that has already been opened. It is fairly easy and inexpensive to install a DVD reader in your PC, probably in the range of $30.00 to $60.00 depending on the brand you purchase. I would go ahead and purchase and install the DVD reader since more and more games and other software is now being put on DVD's.

I try to load a new game (rfactor) it does not do anything. The games does work on other another computer.

Try and go to there website, you should be able to download it,
and if you have the disk that you purchased then you have the serial,
so you can try the download and use the serial.

could be a bad disk, there site says runs best on XP, which almost all games run faster on XP.

But runs on vista also, and if it runs on vista it should run on win 7.

Did you not see the UAC, on windows, this is the lock that stops
the system from installing unless you let it, sometimes it does not show on the screen and gets put on the bottom taskbar, so you don't see it and can't install it until you let it.

At what point does the game install hang.

I had to renew my computer because of a virus, but I now can't download Sims 2;Sims Pets;Sims Seasons, because I can't find key codes to get them started, you have to download Sims 2 before the rest can be...

If you can provide some type of sales reciept or ossibly call the company that makes Sims you may be able to convince them to hand over keys. However I think the latter would give you a batter shot; short of re-purchasing the game(s)

My e drive wont start up any product

When you are refering to the E drive, do you mean your dvd/cd drive?. If so 2 things to try, first a lens cleaning cd rom, secondly if still no nada, go to my computer, right click, down to properties>Hardware>Device manager. Click the '+' sign on DVD/CDROM Drives and highlight your drive and right click then Delete. Re-boot you PC and let windows find your drive again automatically, then try playing something again. If still nothing it's time to replace the drive, they are very cheap nowadays.
