Question about Acer TravelMate® 4062WLCi (D35999H55017KIT) PC Notebook
My Acer travelmate 4062 LCi was dropped and landed on a carpet from knee height on the top right hand corner, the point where the power supply enters the machine. It now no longer works from the mains power supply, but works fine from the battery. Obviously, this won't be for long because the battery will not charge either
It sounds like a circuit or component break somewhere around the power supply entry point but I've no idea how to get into the machine to have a look. Are there any manuals around on the Internet. I';ve looked but can't find any
Most likely the power plug has come loose off the motherboard. Unless you are extremely handy with a soldering and desoldering iron, I recommend taking it to a professional to do it because one wrong move can destroy the whole motherboard.
