Question about Audio Players & Recorders

I have a phillips mp3 player sa6185/02, since last week when | down loaded some music onto the player, I have experienced a problem. When I turn on the mp3 player and go into my music option my play list option has 174 delete play lists, which I can't delete. Also when I connect to my laptop, the mp3 player is not reconigised. I have gone through all the trouble shooting suggestions, but to no avail. Phillips now say that I have to send off my mp3 player to fixed.     I have since taken back the Phillips and exchanged this player for an another company and model.



    Also I should point out the Phillips repair service is the worst online service I have used. I contacted their repair department nearly two and half weeks ago. The operative who I spoke to on the phone, stated that I had to send the machine back for repair.



    He said that they woud need to dispatch a container for me to post the machine back to them. Well I contacted their repair service twice, I am still waiting for the container, also the website they advice you to use to monitor your repair, does not work.

Before you send the player off to Philips, try the repair procedure.

Make sure you have Philips Device Manager installed on your PC, and open it.

Press and hold [VOL+] whilst connecting the player to the PC.

Device Manager will report an error with your device.

Follow the on-screen prompts.

NOTE: ALL DEVICE CONTENT WILL BE DELETED.

If the player still doesn't connect then roll-back all of your USB drivers.

Down load music


Download or rip music onto your computer using iTunes , then hook up your shuffle to the computer using your USB cord and use iTunes to sync music onto the MP3 player.

How do i download music to phillips gpgear mp3 player


when the device is connected it may be visable in "my computer" as a device with removable storage, if so you just drag and drop files in to it.
if not the should be some software that came with the device to tell the pc how to use it.

Sansa MP3 player.


There are only two things I can think that would cause this:
(1) The players file allocation table has been corrupted. The solution to this is refomat the drive and reupload the music.
(2) That the software that you are using has changed the format. This happened when I installed ITunes. It converted the music all to another format. If this is the case, copy the other player back to your drive and then upload the music back from that player.

try formating the mp3 player and then get the new frimware for it and the putting the songs back on there were did you get the song from

My Phillips Go Gear 8GB MP3 player wont sync music


Windows Media Player 11 ruins this player. Uninstall Windows Media Player 11, and roll back to Windows Media Player 10. Then use version 10 to sync songs to your device.

Try music management software that still downloads from libraries like
RealPlayer, Winamp. If you can load your device to it, can manage it through that.
