"dl"indicates a door lock error. A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be unlocked. It will try to lock it 6 times before displaying the error.
Check for the following when dl occurs:

• Door Lock Mechanism broken.

• Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly for foreign objects

• Check Wire Harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and Central Control Unit (CCU)

Make sure you are buying the discs labeled DL

The DL stands for dual layer.

If you do not buy the DL you can not have the 8.6 gig write space.

I usually just buy R- DL(not the R+) since R- works on all the PC drives and all the old mac drives.

unplug machine for 2 minutes this will reset the computer if problem continues look behind bottom front cover and there is a tech sheet that will tell you what the f code is the DL code is bad door lock assembly. it could be the main control (mother board throwing you these codes) Ive seen this happen before
