How can i make the phone ring for longer what ever ringtone i use personal or other wise it only rings for a short while. i can not find any thing in the settings to lengthen the length of time it rings

you have to select a new ring tone long ringtone to make the phone ring longer

It is possible the phone will only ring for the duration of the installed ringtone. Try creating a longer ringtone on your computer from any PD music, then copying that across to your phone and selecting it as the ringtone, see if that helps.

just use ringtones of longer lenth...(try to use ringtone of 30 sec etc...)

Some of the ringtones in the Bold don't seem to be suited for "loud" profiles.
Try to edit your settings for the ringtone, making sure you pay attention to the correct settings.
To edit your ring settings
-go to your "profiles" screen -roll the ball to the bottom and select "advanced" -highlight the profile you want to edit -use your BB button to select "edit"
-choose the "phone" application -choose the setting you would like to edit (in holster or out of holster) -choose your volume setting from here.
This should solve your problem

your phone accepts downloaded audios for ringtons, if you want a long ringtone, you may set a whole song to be your ringtone, or perhaps a long ring ring sound.

or if you only want your regular tones to be longer, try to set the ringer to "ASCENDING"

You settings are not activated so please refer your phone user manual do the steps by step then it will work fine

1) First save the specific number
2) Select the ring tone
3) Assign the this ring tone for that number
