Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Last night was playing game on internet outside and my battery warning light came on and prompted me to 'HIBERNATE' . after a little while I plugged in and opened my Vistas but the icons and the font were blurry and very large. Not everything would fit on the screen. I've changed my resolution and font size but isnt the same as before. I need to FIT everything on my desktop properly as before I hibernated. Thanks, Georgina

How to Use Shutdown, Sleep, Hibernate Modes for my Laptop?

Shutdown is safer, close all program.
Hibernate is good for long period (e.g. stop during the night). All the data will be saved on the HD.
Suspend is similar to Hibernate mode, but data are copied to the RAM, so if you aren't conneted wtih power cable and battery goin to 0%, you will lost your work that aren't saved.

When i connect to the internet it takes between 30 sec to a min to load up or it crashes when i play any games it frezzes how can i resolve this please

The problem might be your internet connection speed thats in upload and download, you should test your internet connection speed and stability. If all are fine then you should try a different browser such as firefox or the lattest versions of internet explorer including some other applications such as silverlight, also you will need to run the command prompt and ping the site on which the game is located this might solve the problem. If not try updating the flash player plugins they might be out dated and if these all fail then your computer might have no requirements for such game play.

When turning on the power light is yellow and laptop wont launch - was fine last night and i have turned everything off

Sounds as if the power unit may be faulty or maybe not plugged in.

Usually with a yellow power light this is an indication that the battery needs charging.

I cannot install Panda's fire wall nor access my on-line game. Been working on it all night. Thank you!

Panda is an awesome anti-virus software, the last time I used it, it actually prevented me from accessing the internet. You either need to disable it while you are playing your game or set up an exception.

As far as it not allowing you to install the firewall, try to disable Windows built in firewall first. If your running with a router it may cause some issues as well.

GT5032 W/XP Media Edition

Try unplugging and opening the PC and removing the mainboard battery. *It's about the size of a quarter, a little thicker though" Hit the power button about 5 times. (Mind you this will reset ther board to factory settings and you will have to go into set-up and set the time back) plug the pc back up and you may be in buisness.
Hope this helps!

First turn off your computer let it rest for about 5 minutes. Then restart it again. Usually this is all what systems need. Next try checking the usb attached to the computer before turning it on again. Plug and unplug it. If there is no major problem on your mouse. This should do the trick. Please dont forget to rate me. Thanks!!!
