Hello
Tha sounds to me like the air mixture nedds to be adjusted on the stove, It's not difficult to do, just rotate it until the flames loose the yellow or your pans will be stained with soot.
The should be by the fittings (convertion fittings), you know?
LP Gas to Natural Gas or Natural Gas to LP Gas.
Hope this help

SOURCE: My oil boiler is a

The actual final solution was to replace the fuel valve/solenoid following which the boiler has run without failure.
The conclusion was that the fuel valve solenoid was ok when cold but when heated up had some sort of electrical breakdown in its coils, causing the fuel valve to fluctuate until the boiler locked out.

SOURCE: Repressurise Potterton Performa 24 boiler

hope this is helpful. On my potterton 24 combi boiler it is the valve that sits the lowest, with a slight indent in the black tap. if you turn this for a short period you will hear a hiss and the pressure will quickly build to the desired pressure, when you can them turn the tap back off.

Riello oil burner runs fine when not mounted to the boiler when assembled it cuts out every 5 seconds what could be the issue?

Hi,

it seems like the burner is going into a safety mode when you run it and it's connected to the boiler. It might be a good idea to check what issues cause this safety mode to be activated and then check whether you have accidentally allowed for this issue. If so, then you can undo the issue.

The lift of safety activation triggers should be in the product manual.

Thank you.

What does the white smoke coming out of the top of the flu on my oil boiler mean

White smoke means steam and that would be caused by a leak in the heat exchanger coil of water in the fuel.

My oil boiler keeps locking out

turn off the power to the system and then open up the transformer using a 5/16 nut driver. The transformer is hinged and it will flip out of the way. Look for a small black cylinder with yellow wires. Clean off the eye. Then turn off your oil supply to the burner. Using a 7/16 wrench, unscrew the very small copper line at the end where it enters into the burner housing, then spin off the round nut holding the drawer assembly. Rotate the drawer assembly and pull it out. Inspect the nozzle for soot and replace. The size and angle of spray will be marked on the side of it. Inspect and adjust your electrodes according to the manufactures specifications of the burner (not the boiler). Put everything back together and test fire it. If your boiler has not been cleaned in the last year, change the filter at the oil tank. If it continues to lock-out, change the primary control (usually honeywell 8184G) with a newer version.

Potterton statesman oil central heating boiler the household oil ran out and i had it refilled and now the lock out button is illuminated i believe i have to press the burner reset button but not sure...

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. You will have to push and hold the reset in on the side of the control for 15 seconds. But you will also have to bleed the air from the system from the 3/8 nipple on the lower left side once the lockout has been released and the motor starts.

My diesel burner on my pressure washer smokes real bad. Could I have a leak, if so where would that leak be? It is a alkota

HI, here is a few pointers that may help you ,
  1. if the smoke is white , that usually indicates water in the diesel, empty fuel tank and replace/clean the fuel filter
  2. if the smoke is black that indicates excess diesel or unburnt fuel , normal fuel pump pressure is around 8 to 9 bar (you will need a gauge to check this ), another cause is often failure of the fuel nozzle to correctly atomise the fuel (remove nozzle and clean (a small sintered fuel filter inside this )
  3. the burner electrodes should have a blue angry looking spark across them ,when checked (BE VERY CAREFULL WHILST DOING THIS as in effect you have a flame thrower ), usual gapping distances are around 6 mm
  4. the electrodes should be sharp pointed and not rounded or pitted
  5. a final cause is commonly a leaking fuel solenoid which can cause fuel to drip into the burner/heating coil assembly ( replace the solenoid
as you can see this can often be a complex and dirty job to repair and it might be better to contact a local service agent in your area .
Hope this helps

My oil burner blows smoke when it kicks on, then after 3 times it shuts down smoke test is good, new nozzle what else can i check?

There should be an air adjustment collar on the oil pump side of the burner. Give it a bit more air. Have you replaced the oil filter and oil pump strainer? Flip open the transformer on the top of the oil burner and look for a small black round cylinder. This is your Cad cell eye. Take a paper towel and polish the end that looks down the burner tube. You did not mention how long the unit fires prior to shutting down, could be a bad primary control.

I have a riello burner for my central heating system. When i turn the heating on the burner ignites for a few swconds and then goes out.... the burner tries to re-ignite and the same happens. I have...

Replace the nozzle, don't try and clean it. After the burner runs a few seconds, do you have to reset the control (red button) before it will start again? Does it sound like there is a pulsation in the flame when it starts or it is running out of oil? You may have a bad ignition control. Start with the small stuff, nozzle, strainer filter, oil tank filter and then work to the more complicated.
