Baked Loaf Does the baked loaf have a hole in it from the mixing paddle?

1 Answer

Yes it does. This is just a minor problem. All bread machines have this happen. The only way around is to use the machine on the dough cycle and bake it in the oven.

How can I keep a baked loaf of bread from sticking to the pan ina west bend bread maker?

Let pan and loaf cool for about 10-15 mins then try to slide it out then. Also you can very gently ease a plastic knife around the top of the bread, to see if this helps.

When I bake a loaf of bread it comes out of the machine with the ceramic mixing paddle baked into the loaf! How do I keep this from happening?

That often happens with bread machines. You can lessen the possibility by using milk in place of water and also choose light crust. This is pretty advanced but if it really bugs you,,, here goes.... After the final punch down and at the very beginning of the final "rise" stage you can remove the dough ball with one hand,( lightly flour your hands first) try to remove the paddle with the other hand from the dough ball and return the dough ball to the center of the pan, and close the lid Just be sure you don't remove your dough ball too early... check your owner manual and be sure you don't remove it BEFORE THE FINAL PUNCH DOWN....!

I do not know when to take out the kneading paddle out of the breadman TR555LC. If not taken out, the Kneading paddle will stay in the bread itself after bake.

you leave the kneeding blade inside , i now its a pain but thats how it is when youve baked your bread you turn the tin upside down and tap the loaf out but theres a hole where the needer has been ,,i have looked at every bread machine on the market and there all the same.....

Paddles end up inside the loaf when done baking !!!! why do they come off!!!? very annoying.. ruins the loaf trying to get them out ......think the machine is only good for mixing ...rather bake in oven in...

Hi,
This is common in all bread making machines. You can try taking the paddle out of the machine after the last kneading cycle and before final rise. (take bread pan out of machine to do this). Hank

CAN NOPT REMOVE LOAF WITHOUT A HOLE IN THE MIDDLE

Happens all the time. It's part of using a bread maker. The mixing paddle is a necessary part of the machine. Just wiggle it gently out while the bread is still a little bit warm.

Paddle comes off inside bread

We have had a number of bread makers and this is the way they work - the bread cooks and the paddle has to pull out somehow so it just rips a hole in the bread.
We found it better to let the machine do all the mixing etc. then my wife takes the dough out and puts most of it in a loaf pan and some in the form of buns in another pan. Works better for us & the bread is a more "normal" shape rather than the odd shape produced in the breadmaker. Also the crust isn't so tough when done our way.

I had the same problem and tried using slightly less water - it worked. Also, it may be that your yeast is not very good. Larry
