This happens to me too.. to what i do is get a Q-tip with some rubbing alchole and gently clean the eye.. and if that dont work.. i use a blow dryer and aim it in there to clear out any dust it may have in there. and then most of the time that works for me..
but now i have one and it wont even do that for me,,,

Just move the laser with your finger, push it to the outside and then tell it to work by the authority of Jesus Christ

Sounds like it's a problem with the optical sensor in the disk drive. Try and clean the little sensor with a cloth. If that doesn't work then you may have to send it back to Coby for either a warranty replacement or a repair.

Dvd player will not spin disk

Unfortunately, your DVD player is broken. Portable units like these often get bumped and jostled and the motor that spins the DVD quits (very small and fragile). Sorry, I wish there were a magic button.

DVD starts to load but does not play.

Not sure if anyone found this solution, worked for me.
1. Press SETUP
2. Press FFW, F REW, NEXT, PREVIOUS
3. Change the code to 255 using the RIGHT arrow key

This will unlock the DVD player for all regions.
