This happens to me too.. to what i do is get a Q-tip with some rubbing alchole and gently clean the eye.. and if that dont work.. i use a blow dryer and aim it in there to clear out any dust it may have in there. and then most of the time that works for me..
but now i have one and it wont even do that for me,,,

Sounds like it's a problem with the optical sensor in the disk drive. Try and clean the little sensor with a cloth. If that doesn't work then you may have to send it back to Coby for either a warranty replacement or a repair.

the unit is showing "no disk" on every disk that you try to play,
unfortunately, the unit has developed a defect and needs to be
replaced. It can not be repaired. Our warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. If you received the unit as a Xmas present, please call the number above for instructions on getting the unit exchanged.

Every time I close my Coby TFDVD5000 Portable DVD Player I whait untill it is finished loading but then it says no disk. I took the back off to look at it, and I noticed that each time i close it the disk will spin untill the lens starts reading the disk. The problems started when i put a disk cleaner in, and i gess the lens was not dirty. Can you help me?
Unfortunately, your DVD player is broken. Portable units like these often get bumped and jostled and the motor that spins the DVD quits (very small and fragile). Sorry, I wish there were a magic button.
