Problem pixma ip 4600.

Cleaning ink cartridges takes up a lot of ink. So, you may be out of ink in the respective ink jet cartridges that supply ink for the colors which are missing. Try new ink cartridges.

The color ink cartridge that is " blinking " is

Don't buy Canon as they absolutely ROB you for the ink!! They are worse than ****** dealers! At least HP allows you to use non (rip-off) OEM cartridges without all the hassle! My printer will be thrown out after the ink runs out as I will not be ripped-off by Canon again!

Encountered problem inserting cartridges

Hi. Go to this site:

Pixma iP1600 Support

On the Support and Service tab there is a Search Our Knowledge Base block.

Below "Please enter your question:" type in "replace ink cartridge". (Without the quotes of course.)

Click on "Search". One of the choices that appears is "How do I install the ink cartridge(s)?"

Click on it and a window will open with pictures and animations to guide you through the process.

Thanks for using Fixya.

A "Fixya" rating would be most appreciated.

Printer won't print in color

You should not need to program it to print color, it should just print.

How old is the machine and are you sure the color ink cartridge is good (not empty)?
