take off the electric plug for about couple of minutes and turn it on after. if still persist then it must be the hardware of your tv got a problem. see also the settings of your projector for an adjustments.

I have an ASUS model X83V and my screen has been flickering (not in brightness, but actually going fuzzy and "jumping"). The flicker can take upwards of 1 hour or more before it goes away, but usually...

my son has this same machine and after a year of almost daily use it developed this same flicker you describe, about every 4 secs, then it got much worse, almost like an old tv rolling. i took it all apart and inspected it all. didn't see anything really troubling.

yesterday it worked fine all day while i installed a bunch of updates for another problem. i left it on all night doing some other things. this morn when i got up it was still ok. then after a while it started in again, every 4 secs.

so i've been troubleshooting the damn thing all evening and have come to the conclusion its from over heating, probably cause of the crappy heat sink connection. i noticed if i take it outside in 40 degree weather and leave it a couple mins on the hood of my truck, it goes away. bring it back in and after 5 mins it comes back. take it back out and its fine again in a few mins. also, yesterday my house as much cooler. my fire was out and it was in the upper 60's in here, today as soon as it got to 76 in here, and it was above that all day, it started acting up

so i think my next step will be to try and make a better union between the chips and the heat sink itself. you should try a test with yours. start it up, make sure its flickering, put it in a cold space for a few mins. just be caustious of condensation.

Display starts out OK, but after a few minutes it begins to flicker in the upper corners, and the turns on and off a few times before staying black?! Everything else seems to function OK.... BIOS issue???...

please check the monitor or LCD that you have. because the computer will not flicker if there is a problem on the display. isolate it. use other monitor or LCD then check if it flickers again.

Power light flickering

The power light flickering is normal. Most pc power lights flicker to show it is operating. Also your light on you cd rom or dvd rom will flicker when you put a disk in it. Try it now - put a disk into your cd rom [ or dvd rom if you have that] and watch the power light flicker.

My screen below the taskbar keeps on flickering

that sounds like a either a monitor issue or video card issue. in most cases, if it is a video card, you wouldn't see the image on the screen. I would try the monitor, if you had it for quite a while, it is possible that the monitor is going bad.

I know it is not software problem.

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 971P and it flickers while starting up. If you turn it on and off a few times then it will come on with out flickering.

The flicker might be caused by a defective plyback or a cold solder. Have it checked at the nearest service center.

Hi, I have a problem with

The high voltage (HV) flyback transformer is a very possible cause of this. This could be repaired by a qualified technician, but the cost may not be worth it. New 17" monitors can be acquired for free sometimes (think craigslist)
