The beeping is a result of some kind of hardware problem. If you listen to the number of beeps and the sequence you can actually tell what the problem is. To me it sounds like a video card or RAM issue.

Beep codes beeps

Hi Anon, the best thing to do is contact Dell and ask them what the error codes mean.
Judging by the fact that the fan in your computer is louder than usual, I suspect that you may have an overheating problem, this can usually be cured by blowing compressed air (available in small cans from Maplins, PC World, etc) through the fan on the motherboard to remove any dust that may be stopping it working properly.
You could also try reseating your ram.
Temperature and ram issues are the two most common causes of beep error codes, but they might also indicate a motherboard problem.

You can try to open your computer then remove the RAM then use a pencil with eraser to clean the gold teeth and then put the RAM back and test it out.

THE RED LIGHT IS ON AND BEEPS EVERY MINUTE

What motherboard do you have? If you don't know, provice make and model of your system and maybe we can find out that way. Is it one long beep? Are there any other beeps and/or a sequence. A good place to start and alot of times, depending on your bios, 1 to 3 beeps means a problem with the RAM(memory). If you have more than 1 stick, you can pull them out, restart and if the beep is the same, you've probably found your culprit. You can then insert one at a time in one of your slots, then restart. If this works, you've found a good stick. If not, try another slot and restart, etc. Try all sticks in all slots.

My Computer Beeping when star-up. The Beeping sound is continue such as Beep...Bee...Beep...Beep..until I force it by pressing the start up button to stop it total. I think due to the new mouse and...

Beeps always indicate error excluding a one single beep only which indicate process.Every manufacturer has its own beep setting. it comprises on short and long beeps. If previously it working good, then your idea may be correct. replace both the keyboard and mouse with existing. start computer if now it not giving beeps it meant that one of them is causing problem. connect one by one and start computer you will reach. AND if even after replacing keyboard and mouse it gave beeps then shut down your system. Open casing remove processor and memory chip out and connect them again it will work now INSHALLAH.

Continuous Beeping, new PC

Hi.
Continues short beeps... means a short OR no power OR loose card OR system board.
Test it without the keyboard and mouse too. Just the Processor with heatsink, motherboard, memory and Video card.
Now add the keyboard, no mouse yet.
Check also the voltage of the CMOS Battery it should be 3V.

keep me posted for the result... count also the beeps.
