Question about ASUS A7V8X-X (90-M7A690-W0EAY) Motherboard

1 Answer

System panal connector

Hi,

My name is Ryan and I'm trying to install and activate this motherboard I just got. I ll get right to it-first of all, I don't seem to have cable marked SMI(system management interupt) inside my tower. So I did my best to put everything else in place and what s happening is-the motherboard is starting up and the CPU seems to be the only component picking up any power. My IDE s are good, everything else on the connector I m talking about seem to be in place..................there s just no power to anything

Power supply diagram for ht 2000 motherboard

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ECS-HT2000-AMD-AM2-Socket-mATX-DDR2-800-Motherboad-w-NVidia-Graphics-/251260314586?pt=Motherboards&hash=item3a804823da

1) Uses one 24-pin ATX main power cable.

Motherboard installed in computer case, the motherboard connector for the 24-pin ATX main power cable; is to the Right of the Blue IDE (PATA) connector.
(Right side of motherboard)

General example. Note that color does NOT matter of connector,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain24

2) Uses one 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable,

Motherboard installed in computer case, the whitish square 4-socket hole connector, to the Bottom/Left corner of the Processor socket; is the 4-pin ATX +12 Volt power cable's motherboard connector.

General example. Note color does NOT matter of connector,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atx12v4

THAT, would be considered a Power Supply diagram of the motherboard.

They are the only two power cables that plug into the motherboard.

The front of your desktop computer is the Front Panel.

The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the Main wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

Power On switch, Power On LED, (Light Emitting Diode), Harddrive activity LED, and a Reset switch IF used.

How to wire front panal

You will need to open the computer case and check that the cables that run from the actual power button to the motherboard are plugged into the proper spot on the motherboard. Sometimes reseating the cable can fix this issue.

I think this is the link to your motherboard documentation: http://www.via.com.tw/download/mainboards/3/4/p4mapro533_r100.pdf

Check the page 2-14 or 2-15 and see if that helps you to identify the actual connection for your power switch.

Hi, Try this. ttp://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/dsktpboards/d915gvwb

You can download an active x control which will automatacally detect which drivers are missing or are not up-to date.

Scsi \ raid host controller my system dont know this

Sounds like you need some drivers, I assume all the connectors are correctly in place. If you can goto your device manager and see if there is a small yellow triangle with an "!" in the middle. Right click on this and search for drivers. If that doesn't work it'll be your chip set drivers. Look on the motherboard or use a program like CPZ to find out your motherboards model, go on HP's website and find the dirver. install manually.

My pc cant detect my mobile USB?

here a few ideas to try, go into control panal to device manager and go do to usb connector and look for any marks other than green, green indicates it working fine.

you may want to look in service file and make sure its turned on, ps be careful in this folder it is very sentive documents or operational folders

check your sercurity center, firewall, antivirus programs may interfer with the communication of this devices

go into control panal and look in the networking and sharing folder

look in the problems and reports folder for conflicks

control panal and look in the sync center this folder is for plug and play devices

look in the windows defender and the windows firewall folder for and thing that will not the vevice to stop cpmmunication with other device or even stop the transfer of data within the computer itself and the programs you are trying to run

last thing go to the device you are having problems with check for any new updates, and go into the properties of the device and look at the everything in the box for reset buttons, general information if the device is working right, details.

Technika digital camera driver issue

This isnt a motherboard problem actually.

The user you are useing to run the setup doesnt have admin rights.

Try makeing a new user and make sure it is set to computer administrator. If you cant do that then your user doesnt have admin rights.

If you can do that then go to the new user and try to run the setup on it.

Its possible your pc has a virus or something has removed administrator rights from your user.

how to check does my user have admin rights?
press start -> run -> type: cmd -> type: whoami
it will show something similiar to this:

C:\Users\Käyttäjä>whoami
lh-g503w30x9mwi\käyttäjä

(''computer name'' \ ''user'')

now type: net user käyttäjä
(remember to change the 'käyttäjä' with your own username)

it will show something similiar to this:

C:\Users\Käyttäjä>net user käyttäjä
User name Käyttäjä

Asus m2n E Sli board audio

I had the same problem, and it went away when I connected the the front speakers via the 'ac97' connector from the case, instead of the HD audio connector. It seems using the HD audio connector, as well as using no connector and forgetting to put back the jumpers originally set over 2 of the front audio connectors pins, will cause no audio from the back ports.
