LATCH belt storage in rear position

We just purchased the Maxi-Cosi Priori. We're having trouble understanding how to store the LATCH hook belts. We're installing the car seat in the rear facing position and will not be using the LATCH system. It's not clear in the manual how to store the belts. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Manual poorly illustrates the storage position for LATCH belts when seat is tethered using seat belt.  There is nothing secure to attach them to in the suggested location.

it definitely is NOT self explanitory as to where the LATCH is supposed to be anchored when not in use. It took some time, but I figured it out. The Top Tether should be hooked on the recline prop/foot/base area - depending on which way you have this positioned - for forward or rear-facing use, the piece to hook the top tether on could either be towards the front (rf mode) or back (ff mode). It's just a simple cut out in the plastic. The Lower Anhcors need to be clipped to a small plastic notch along the back side of the seat shell - you have to lift up the cover to get a good look at them - they are towards the top of the seat on the back and don't really look like much but do secure the lower anchors when attached.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

I just cut and paste the above solution from another forum.....I just figured out how to do it.......when the seat is shipped secure the seat cover along the sides with a couple plastic tabs. I guess you need to remove the seat cover from these tabs and clip the quick release latch to these small tabs on each side. the cover will stay on without being hooked to this tab. I called the company and told them to re-write the instruction manual. They said they were well aware of the issue. OK why not fix it then........

the above post should read "when the seat is shipped they secure the seat cover along the sides with the plastic tabs"

They don't tell you in the manual to remove the seat cover from these tabs and that is where the latches attach to.

Lost Maxi cosi recyning rod

Hi
Which model Maxi-Cosi Priori is it?

The original Priori was discontinued some time ago and we can no longer support this product for spare parts or repairs. We would advise that this particular seat is replaced.

The Priori SPS, PrioriXP and PrioriFix carseats are still part of the current range so can be supported for spare parts and repairs. If you visit www.maxi-cosi.com and select which country you're in you'll find a Contact Us tab on the right side of the page where you can click to send your enquiry to the customer care team in your country.

Hello Kirsty - The original Maxi Cosi Priori carseat was discontinued in the UK some time ago and replacement polystyrene inserts for this product are no longer available. If it is a Maxi Cosi Priori SPS, XP or Fix model, you can purchase replacement polystyrenes via your local Maxi Cosi retailer or direct from the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30.

Hi can i remove all the harness straps from my maxi cosi priori xp to wash or replace them?

Please do not wash your harness straps, they should not be submerged in water only spot cleaned.

If you have already washed them or just want to purchase replacement straps they are available on the last page of your manual.

I found an online copy of the manual here as well in case you have misplaced yours:

The harnes straps are getting a little worn & mouldy & would like some new ones

Maxi cosi in USA charge £1.40 per strap, here in RIP OFF BRITAIN you have to send the seat to Dorel UK by courier £££££ then pay the £30 to fit the strap,
On principle I would not do this

I went to a very nice company that manufacture bespoke car seat belts. I sent them the original and they returned me a shiney new one (That doesn't twist like the originals) for £15 + VAT
