MSI MS-1036 with missing parts

Hi, I recently bought a used MSI barebone laptop, model no. L715 (ms-1036) with some missing parts. I cannot find these parts anywhere so please advise where I could find them. Missing parts are:

I searched eBay with no success, contacted local distributors (I live in Germany) and tried even to contact MSI directly, without receiving any reply. I need the notebook for business, so to have these parts is vital for me.

Please let me know.

Hi micromaster, thanks for the fast reply. The battery I intended is the battery pack, not the motherboard internal battery. As per the German website of MSI, I've already sent them an email, 4 weeks ago, and no reply yet.

The first link you sent is interesting, but I cannot find the spare part I need.

The battery pack is not so important: I can use the external power supply. The part I desperately need is the CPU fan assy:

There you find the pic taken from a review online I found. I need the cpu heatsink AND the fan assy connected to it.

Let me know if you can gently help me.

Hi and thanks for the fast reply.

MSI Germany does not reply to emails, and the second link you sent is useful, but I cannot find the parts I need.

I need desperately the CPU heatsink assy, as per the pic below:

The battery I meant before was the pattery pack, but I can use the external power supply no problem.

Please let me know if you can find these parts.

Try taking the battery out and see if it will fire up just with the adapter. Please don't take your unit apart unless you have some experience in this procedure.

MS-1036 doesnt sense power cord attached

You hit exactly on the head with don't move the unit when plugged in - there are many people with the MS-1036 having this problem if you search the web. MSI does cover the bare-bone itself, however this falls into that damaged not defective area. Many shops would replace the entire board, making it costly as looks you had done once already. Good idea is to look to Asus 17" bare-bone and move your items over, much better made. Citrus Micro - see you worked with them, so have I, always had good luck with them, they make great contact and sometimes too honest, prices are great to - like any etail store with returns, manufacturer warranty tells most etail stores how they are to handle things. Could be why you see them getting rid of selling MSI products? Looks like you found the best idea, take to walk in repair shop - hard to beat that or again, buy new bare-bone.
