Will not power up

I have a Fedders Model A7DH65B2A Dehumidifier Serial ET895631 that received a power surge and will no longer do anything. Fuse is OK.

Actually you should contact your power company as they are responsible if any power surges occur

Fedders dehumidifier making high pitched noise


Hi,
The fam motor bearings are dry and need oil..wd-40 with the long spray nozzle maybe the best way to get oil on the bearings... some motors are sealed and it is very dificult the get them quiet again...spray right where the shaft comes out of the motor and then lean the unit back so the oil runs into the motor and let it set for awhile..then try it...

Dehumidifier stopped working


Hi,
It could be a bad compressor, circuit board, or maybe even a sensor or dehumidistat...
Here is a tip about dehumidifiers2_bing.gif that run but do not extract water from the air..

FROZE UP NOW IT IS DEAD


UNplug it and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes and the built in circuit breaker will reset. The probable cause is the compressor can not start up due to the pressure in the lines so the breaker kicked in to prevent damage

I have the same problem. The fan motor bearings are bad on mine. You can get a new fan motor at Appliance Factory parts.com. Phone number 1-800-955-7075. $44.95 + shipping.
