1. all the disc are not region free , games from microsoft are region free, which means u can play in any kind xbox 360

xbox has different version like (ntsc, pal), some countries only accept ntsc some pal.

u can find it on right hand side of the dvd
if it is pal u can play omly pal dvds

u can also modify ur xbox360 this u cannot do by our own, once u modify u can put both version of dvds

If your Xbox 360 will not play your games this is because of the sensors on the back of the drive overheating it is not normally the laser.

Luckily you can fix this yourself and get back to your games and to do this you need the proven Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Or you can send it in and they will fix it for you the repair will take about 4 weeks.

Sometimes like you mention it will still play CD's though.

It may freeze because your game Cd could be scratched or bad. Or maybe its not your game CD at all maybe it is your console. What you can try doing is rubbing alcohol on the game CD and see if that works. If not, try blowing into the area where you put the CD into.

Unfortunately , a new xbox360 game cant be played in a normal xbox (not xbox 360)

The problem is that the new xbox is way different on the inside than the original xbox is. Because it is way more powerful, you can put an old xbox game into a 360, and it will work fine (most of the time), but if you try the reverse there is no way to make it work.

u should find out if its chiped or not chiped 360s dont play live cds unless they r burned

I had the same problem,If it is under warranty send it in ,,, if not then you are going to open it up,, plenty of instruction on how to do this online (google it). see what type of dvd drive you have and then go on ebay and purchase an identical replacment drive. once you recieve it open up YOUR ORIGINAL DVD DRIVE and unplug the green motherboard looking thing on top(Big ONE) there should be four little tabs on this. put it to the side . now open up the new dvd drive and repeat but make sure you dont get these cards switched up.put the old key in the new dvd drive , plug in all 4 tabs,bottom one first. put back together and install back into xbox360. put xbox 360 back together put in disk and enjoy

the fans heat reactor must have gone bad your system is over heating, your xbox must not think it is over heating (lol) put it near a cold place or open window or a place with lots of room

ur dvd drive lens could be scratched. which means ur kinda screwd besides buyin a new 360 that is. lol ps i have the same problem n im screwd too i think peace, sk8abird
