Hello,

The problem is the picture board on your monitor, the picture board on the monitor is malfunction, that is why the screen goes off after few seconds and turn back on.

If the problem is a regular one, i will advice you replace the picture board on your monitor to fix the problem.

Take care.

Hi:
Unfortunately, it isn't a Windows problem, but a monitor power or backlight failure. Your monitor's high voltage inverter board, or the backlight has failed. Often it is too expensive to repair, and cheaper to replace the monitor if it is out of warranty

Screen black out

best way to trouble shoot a monitor is to plug into a different monitor do you have a desktop monitor you can try?also alot of laptops have a small button that turns monitor off when you shut it down around the base of the monitor make sure it isnt stuck.is it going into hibernation? try pulling the battery and unplugging it then plugging it back in.if it is stuck in hibernation that should work.

Screen is complete blackout when I turn on my hp compaq c6000

You either have a screen that has gone and needs to be replaced or a cheaper fix and usually a more likely one is that the inverter in the screen has gone out. The inverter is quite cheap, around $34.00. Try it

use the economical approach replace the ac power supply if this doesnt work replace your monitor with a new one.
Because its probably the same amount of cost to fix it as it is to get a new monitor.
