Yes I can but I will need more info.

I need to know what wireless router you are using and if anyother machines are connected to this either wirelessly or cables.

Go to http://whatismyip.com/, the number on the screen is your IP adress. Enter that in the manual and your XBox should be connected.

Hi. You just need to configure your adapter. It is not broken, it just needs to be set up properly. For information on how to do this, please see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908877

Cant connect to xbox live. ive used my laptop b efore but now it will not let me can u help me? i think the settings are messed up when i test connection from xbox to network it doesnt go any further

First access your router then check its settings of ip address.
It must be in the range of your router settings.
Means if your router ip is 192.168.1.1 and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
Then your xbox ip is 192.168.1.3
gateway is 192.168.1.1
and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
It is good enable DHCP in your router so your xbox get autoip from router if you set suto ip getting from router.
For that For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Then Enable DHCP in router then save settings and restart router.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

My Xbox 360 ADapter Cannot Aquire a IP Address from my Modem

can u please tell me which router it is? in most of the router there is a feature call DMZ. u need to enable the DMZ in the router & then u need to provide the static ip to Xbox 360 like 192.168.1.5 etc in the default getway u need to type the router IP address & on DNS u need to try three different settings 1st on primary DNS type the router ip address like 192.168.1.1, if it didn't work try with univeral DNS try on primary DNS as 4.2.2.2 & on secondary 4.2.2.1, if this didn't work either call ur ISP and ask for the DNS server address of ur ISP and try with that.

Wireless network adaptor

You can get your WEP Key or WEP Encyption Key on your Wireless Router's Configuration Page.

Open your Web Browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox or Safari, type the IP Address of your Router on the Address Bar (e.g. 192.168.0.1) log in to your router and check the wireless settings and look for your network key.

If you dont know the IP Address of your router, try checking it on the command prompt.

Click Start, then click on run, on the run windows type in cmd for command, a black screen will pop up, in the blinking cursor type in ipconfig for Internet Protocol Configure it will show you the IP Address of your computer and the router's IP Address which is the Default Gateway

Hope this helps

Change NAT to open

I don't have your Internet connection details or OS
so we'll start from the beginning:

1.Log into the router and under the Setup tab click on "Setup Wizard" then on the next page click on "Launch Internet Connection Setup Wizard" In step 1 leave the password unchanged and click next. On step 2 select your time zone. On step 3 this is important; select your Internet connection type. On the 4th step leave the Address Mode in Dynamic and enter the username and password supplied to you.

Once you have configured your Router to work with your Internet connection type, you should now get a Moderate reading when you do the Network test in the Xbox dashboard.

2. Now go here http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm and follow the instructions to setting up a static IP address on your computer.

3. After setting up a static IP address on your computer, go here http://www.portforward.com/english/r...x_Live_360.htm and follow the instructions. Something you should keep in mind which isn't mentioned on this page is, for each port you forward under the box that says "IP Address", don’t put the IP address of your computer, you put in the new IP address of the Xbox 360 which was one of the 5 that was generated from that link in step 2. What you are doing is giving the Xbox 360 a new IP address and that new IP address needs to forward these port numbers to the Router.

4. Go into the Xbox dashboard and edit the Network settings. Under Basic Settings click on IP address and set it to manual. Now enter in the new IP address you chose for the Xbox 360. The subnet mask and the gateway is the same as your computer. (You can find these by clicking start> run> type in ‘cmd’ then when the box comes up type in ipconfig/all

Under the DNS Settings it should be set to automatic and under Additional Settings leave them empty. Run the test in the dashboard and it should now be Open!
