Question about ViewSonic VX1935wm LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Color Flashes The monitor flashes brighter, then duller, then blue, then yellow, very briefly. it never stays discolored for long, and sometimes its just a few horizontal lines of discoloration. I've checked the plugs, the only magnetic item near that i can think of is a cordless phone...?

Reset monitor to Default[see instruction manual]as I did with my Viesonic different model. if not a fix then check OS settings in Control Panel-Display setup. also, check you wiring and connections. finally, the video card itself may not be seated properly in CPU. generic answers since you did not furnish enough data.

Monitor power button just flashes blue then yellow , does not work on other computer or other cable. Though it has to be solid yellow, It flashes even with no video cable. Thanks in advance for any...

If you have the power button "on" on the monitor and you unplug the vga cable from your monitor you should get a messege about the cable being unplugged. Sometime the inverter in the monitor can go out and you will be left with a very dim screen or no image at all. You can call up a local computer store and see if they can test the monitor for you. Taking the monitor into a repair shop will more then likely cost you more then a new monitor. I would check to see if the monitor is still under warranty or simply just replace it.

Best of luck..

Screen got yellowish color

Sounds like overstressed video cable, at least that wire for BLUE signal, 'cause when image is yellow - the BLUE color is missing.
Open the monitor and ring coaxial wire in blue insulation.

Samsung Syncmaster 204T flashing

Hi,
Please check that all the cables are plugged in firmly on the back of the monitor and on the back of the computer.
However....
It sounds like the back light on the screen is faulty. If this is the case it is definitely a return for repair problem. You should be able to find the warrantly procedure for your area on the samsung website.
Cheers
Dave

Check to see if the video cable is connected at both ends securely.
Also, if possible, try another cable.
