Re: how to unclog i guess
If this has a foam filter on the bottom side of the recovery tank lid, make sure there is at least a 1/4 in. gap from the top. Also check the filter from the bottom, it has a red frame, clean it off it covered over. The other thing that will cause this is that the lid for the recovery tank is not locked down all of the way around.

Be sure to that the latches are connected to the water pan. The eSERIES and up will not turn on without the water pan latched. If that is not the issue, please call us and speak to a Rainbow Specialist. RainVac www.rainvac.com 800-523-0510
Don't use the paper filter for sucking water. It can ruin it. It will still be usable if you just set it out to dry but there is no reason to use it for water in my experience. I have a sears shop vac and it will fill up more than half full without ejecting the water.
ok - this works even though it probably isn't the "best" solution. Unclog the input and output nozzle ares with a pin. The input area (behind the solution) was my clog problem - I put 2 or 3 drops of CLR into the hole, waited 5 minutes, then primed the trigger. This unclogged it! Fill the tank with a 1:1 ratio of white vinegar and warm water. Insert tank into unit and spray out the contents into the sink. This will eliminate any leftover CLR residue and clean the nozzle thoroughly. For the intake (suction part of the tank) I just rinsed through the lines with the vinegar mix and it seemed to unclog the rest. These things are a pain to take apart and if you break any pieces you'll be stuck - replacement parts have been discontinued for older models.
