I bought an additional wii controller and nunchuck, and I can't get it to turn on and work. The four lights at the bottom of the controller blink but then they go out. Do I need to buy any additional parts to be able to use two controllers?

If you are talking about the GameCube controller, there are controller slots on the top, when it's on the stand. (This is only available on certain Wiis. There are also Memory Card slots there.) If you are talking about the Wii Classic controller, plug it into the bottom of the Wii remote, where you would plug in the Nunchuck.
