if that fails then the PC is dead. (ask what to do now?)
if knoppix DISK test fails, to the HDD (new) is bad.

if you want use DVD-r and burn Knoppix there if the drive shows
read errors the drive is bad. ending this saga now.

If you own the computer and it is still in warrenty then i would call up HP and explain the situation and have them send you a recovery disk, if it is not in warrenty they may still do it but if it doesnt work your other option is to purchase one or to Pirate one which wouldnt be illegal if you used the product key that came with your computer.
SOURCE: Change HP Pavilion Slimline s7520n Video Card?
The on-board RadeonXpress 200M graphics is a dog. It offloads a lot of work to your cpu, and shares system memory which ties up the bus and detracts from the memory available to the OS.
The s7520 suffers from thermal problems due to it's size and poor ventilation. It also has a very limted power supply. Therefore, your choices are also limited. If you could score Radeon X600 or X1300 with 128MB for cheap somewhere it would be a worthwhile upgrade. It does need to be PCI (not PCI-E) and half-height (low profile).

You can download the drivers from the HP support site here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&lang=en&product=3199127&
You will need to select your operating system e.g.Winows Vista, Windows XP etc. then select the download that you require.

You may have a stuck Function key on your keyboard or Escape key. Make sure these aren't stuck and try a reboot.
