My ASUS 2010 AMIBIOS windows xp, i forgot my bios password and it says put in my password or push esc to switch to master password. i forgott my password for it, please help me. thanks

If u have an administrator password go to bios setup and change the user password and HDD password. otherwise the first option
1.click esc on the screen where the hdd password is asking, u get master password on the hdd manufacturer site.
2.Replace the Bios

Master password for what?? If the bios or windows has a password then it was set by someone after purchase, as far as i can tell there is no default password for the bios on this computer, and the windows password would be whatever someone set it to.

remove the cmos battery switch on the machine and switch off then put back the cmos battery and switch on and all will be well

which password, be specific for logging on to windows or bios password. Also will need to know which operating system you are using if it is a windows password i.e windows xp , windows 7 or windows 8.

If you're on Windows XP or Vista try this:

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on andimmediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Safe Modeoption. Select SAFE MODE and let the computer boot up. When it getsto the User Login screen it will show the Administrator userid and the useridfor which you forgot the password. Sign in as the Administrator (hopefullyyou didn't put a password on it and forgot it too). Once the desktopappears it will look different, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger,but this is normal for safe mode.

Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts
When the User Accounts screen opens, click on the userid for which you forgotthe password. Select the option to REMOVE PASSWORD.

Reboot your machine.

This notebook is not designed to work on such an outdated platform. XP was for year 2000 not 2010/11
If you load Win7 and the motherboard drivers you should have no more problems.

There is a blue jumper located just below the lithium battery on the motherboard. You need to remove the jumper and move it to the two pins on the right for about 10 seconds to clear the CMOS then move the jumper back to where you found it. That should clear out the password. It will also change all the BIOS settings back to factory so adjustments to the BIOS may need to be made after reset.
