If your unit has stopped working and appears to be no power, the power supply has ceased working and will need some repairs. If you understand electronics, I could talk you through how to faultfind the deck

The fuse is located on the power socket to the rear of the unit internally.

There is also a thermal fuse inside the transformer.cThis may be causing you problems.

  • Graeme Ross
    Graeme Ross Jun 21, 2008

There are also 5 or six Pico fuses that look like transistors on the PCB attached to the secondary of the transformer. Any of these may have failed preventing the unit from working also.

    Graeme Ross Jun 21, 2008

You will need to use a multimeter n low ohms range to check all of the fusibles. Be sure to disconnect from the power before doing anything!

The 2 pin circuit protector type pico fuses that are marked as IC.. are in many places in the unit. You need to look for all of them and check them all. There is another one on the power regulator board.

I have indicated to you where the fuses are inside the unit. In summary

    1. mains power fuse FU11 is located INSIDE the deck on the same circuit board and the mains on off switch.

    2. There is a thermal fuse that is not changeable inside the widnings of the transformer. This is can be repaired but generally it is considered that you replace the transformer

    3. on the printed circuit board attached to the secondary side of the transformer you will find 5-6 pico fuses, or circuit protectors. The are small black 2 pin devices that are marked on the board as IC901 to IC905

    4. the main power regulator board REGB ASSLY also has a circuit protector IC911.

    5. Thjere are several others in power supply areas marked as IC907, 908, 909, 910, 913, 914.
OK, thats a run down of the fuses in the unit. Non are considered to be user replaceable parts. If you replace the mains primary fuse, FU11, and the unit still does not work, you will need to take it to Pioneer Service. If the deck has had the wrongvoltage

usually the fuse will be located in sides and also at the bottom open
that and take the fuse ,if it is blown ,then replace the new fuse . The
main thing you should keep in mind is ,the replacing fuse should have
the same value as the blown fuse

    thanks for using fixya

I need a fuse for my pioneer vsx-305. It is a 6.3 amp 125Volt. I cannot find locally or on internet. Anyone know where to obtain one???

I don't know where you are, but if you're in the US (and guessing by your username, I'll bet you are), Radio Shack carries them. You could mail order them if you aren't near a store. In a pinch, you could also use a 6.5 amp fuse in place of the 6.3 amp. That's only 200 mA (milliamps, or thousandths of an amp) larger, which is only a small percent increase.

Hello I own 2 cdj 800 mk3 which I use professionally every week for the past 2 years. Recently I am experiencing problems with the pitch control waivering up and down about 2 bpm. I have found this with...

It's possible that you can remedy the problem by cleaning the controls. Being as how they are analog controls and facing directly upward they get dust and dirt in them quite easily. Use a cleaner that is designed for slide controls, one with a silicone lubricant, not one that's straight alcohol as the control will get stiff and not move smoothly.
If cleaning does not do the trick then yes, you'll have to replace it.

Pioneer CDJ-500S error 9103.

9103 error is a traverse assembly issue. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix for this. You will have to take it to a service center for repair. They will in turn replace the Traverse assembly, or find out why it's giving this error. If the traverse assembly is replaced, they will also have to calibrate the unit according to Pioneer specs.

Fuse Replacement

Hi diamonddan11

I have given you direct instructions as to where the fuse is on your original post. The fuse is located inside the unit on the same printed circuit board as the mains power socket, right beside the main power switch.

Lubrication for Pioneer CDJ1000 Pro CDJ Turntable Jog Wheel

You can use WD-40 if there is a control pot which the knob is attached to. If there is a small PC board with no pot, don't spray with oil.
