Unplug phone line from printer, see if phone is operational, try another phone in the wall plug, if not working, go to outside box and plug phone into the test item, if not working call phone company as it wuold appear line dead/cancelled.

Sorry to hear that, I had the same situation 3 months ago, my 2 years old son hided my phone while it was totally dead and I had to look everywhere in the house until I founded it in the kitchen playing with the plates :) sorry no technological solution for this problem but it helps sometimes to calm down and write down the last remembered & possible places,

Unregistered SIM usually indicates the SIM card you are using has not been activated. Call your provider to ensure the SIM card number you are using is the same one they have in their systems.
