Audio The audio on my ps3 won't work when playing games. I've tried many things  to fix the problem but none worked. I'm running audio through a Bose 3-2-1 system and video through a Hitachi HD 1080 plasma T.V. Any ideas?? Thanks klipper917

Thanks for advice. Should have mentioned that the audio did work for several months then suddenly dropped out.  fkathome

Try if the Bose system have some setting need to be adjust or if your machine is configure properly on the audio section. Is a little bit hard to explain since is a step by step operation but check this two.Audio section on your ps3 and audio setting on BOSE System.Usually if the Bose Allow Direct setting use it.I had the same problem with a Onkyo receiver.Technology suppose to make your life easy but sometimes is complicate to understand.

Problem getting my bose soundlink to play blue tooth audio from my laptop.

Hi Sirtuan.

Go to the system panel, there choose "sound" . a list with all available sound devices appear. search for your bose soundlink and make it your "standard device".
had the same prob. with my BT headset and this works for me.

if your bose get disconnected the sound should automatically switch to pc speakers.

Playing MLB the Show on PS3. Game loads fine, franchise I've been playing loads fine. But once I try to play a game, bar starts as game loads then game cuts off and goes to main PS3 screen.

Is your CD dirty or does it have any cracks? It might just be the problem. Otherwise, it could be corrupt game data. Clean the disc, if it still doesn't work I'd try deleting the game utility data and re-downloading it. Hope this helps in some way or another.

My ps3 slim won't play games and blue ray disk but I can still play eve movies on it, please help want to try an fix if before nhl 12 hits the stores.

Hi, It sounds like there's an error with the laser that reads blu ray media as PS3 games and blu ray movies are both stored on blu ray disks which is read by a different type of laser then a dvd is read by. There's nothing you could do to fix that on your own, the only fix I've heard of is sending it in to Sony.

Im having problems playing online games with my ps3 i can get online but cant play games. is it because i have hughesnet or is there something i can do?

A lot of people have problems playing online games with satellite internet. The problem is that while your download speed is usually okay, the upload speed to the satellite is too low and the latency (the time between when your computer sends a message and the satellite relays it to the other party) is way too high.

Unfortunately, you probably will not be able to play any kind of PS3 games online via HughesNet. Computer browser-based games would likely be okay, but your latency will be too high to connect to any PS3 game servers.

Good luck, and hope this is helpful!

My new homefront ps3 will play on my friends playstation but will not play on mine help

If it won't play online what you'll need to do is set a static ip in your router for your ps3 and then open ports TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080
UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070
(you'll need to contact your router about that)

If it won't play AT ALL follow these steps ( http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=1488 ) to get into safe mode and select option 3.

If NONE of your PS3 games work and NONE of your blu rays work, your blu ray drive is fried and you'll need to get it fixed. You can go to: us.playstation.com/getservice to get it fixed.

My Bose Wave radio/cd won`t play cd`s anymore. The radio works great. The cd player worked tonite, the would stick in a certain part of a song. Very intermittent. Now tries to read the disc, then says disc...

"I`ve used an aerosol air can to clean thru the cd slot"What type? not an "empty" can of paint, hairspray, chemical of some sort i hope. Compressed air at most I hope. If not, that's your Bose out the window!
The lense sounds like it needs a clean, you can buy these in disc for with tiny brushes on. Made by BIB and Allsop amongst many brands

Can't get 5.1 audio from bose surround system using PS3 blueray

Yes but first thing, the blu-ray disc you are playing must be 5.1 to get true 5.1. If it is an older movie/TV show, then it might be only 2 channel audio. If this is the case, then your Bose system needs to create simulated 5.1 surround sound, which is not true 5.1. However, if your blu-ray disc is a true 5.1, then your PS3 needs to be set to output 5.1. I am not familiar with the PS3 so I am not sure where to located that setting. Also, try other blu-ray discs.

Unable to get ps3 to play when hooked to receiver

The audio inputs on the receiver need to be set to receive the Optical signal on the switch you set the ps3 to. ie Game, DVD, AUX. Each switch needs to be set to receive the audio signal coming into it. Usually on the remotes setup feature.
