Logitech LX5 mouse

Logitech LX 5 Mouse freezes randomly...only way to fix it is to unplug the USB cable and replug...this is a hassle...what else can I do? Software loaded with no problem etc.

check the batteries. reset the control panel/mouse properties and ensure you have latest drivers.
