Aiptek won't turn on

My Aiptek camera won't turn on. I've put brand new batteries in it and pressed the power button but nothing happens. It worked fine until a couple days ago.

It worked great until I went for a bicycle ride. The camera was used several times on the ride. It might have been jarred around a little during the ride. Now it won't turn on. I've checked and replaced the batteries. I was able to hook it to a PC and download the photos from the drive. now it won't turn on or allow the PC to connect.

hello, I really enjoyed using my video/camera until it wouldn't come back on.Replaced batteries, but uncertain how to get it to come back on, it will do nothing. I really would liked to have used it for my wedding in Jamaica, but quit? Help me please??

Brand new isdv2.4 worked on sunday. I put the pictures and videos on my computer, deleted them from my disk and now the camera won't turn on again. I have changed the batteries, taken them out once or twice and put them back in, still noth ing works.

I have the same problem. I plugged my aiptek camcorder into the computer, then I unplugged it and I tried turning it on, and it didn't turn on since then. I charged it for about 12 hours or so, and it still doesn't turn on.

My Aiptek camera was a Christmas present. It does not turn on anymore despite numerous attempts at changing batteries and taking them out and replacing them repeatedly. Any other suggestions before I return it for a refund?

It is hit or miss. Sometimes it works. Other times it doesn't. I have played around with the batteries and it might work a couple time after that, but then goes dead again. I don't know what the problem is, but I am contacting Aiptek for a replacement since it's been over 30 days since I bought it and I cannot return it.

Try taking the battery out and putting it back in. I don't know why, but it worked for me. Good luck!

This may sound a little daft but have you fitted the battery the right way in the slot. My wife didn't. Caught us out

Remove battery & USB. Wait 30 Seconds. Hold down power button while connecting USB power. Screen should briefly flash. DIsconnct USB, put in battery, turn on. Worked for me.

Reset button ?

Sometimes there is a reset button and sometimes you have to reset it through a menu. Of course, if it won't turn on, then you can't get to the menus.

May I ask, what is you Toshiba camcorder's model #?

My Aiptek keeps coming on then shutting off! It's brand new, I've tried taking the battery out but it still does the same thing

Mine does this if the battery is not charged. Make sure the battery is installed with the contacts lined up (my daughter is a pro at putting the battery in upside down, and it doesn't connect to anything that way!) and charge it up overnight.

If it's still giving you trouble the next day, post back and we'll try something else.

Try taking the memory card out the turning it on and if it does just put the memory card back in and it should work.

Turns on and off repeatedly

My AIPTEK 1080p was powering on but the screen was turning off within one second of turning the unit on. I verified that the camera was still working and just the output onto the screen failed. I was able to resolve this by hooking the camcorder up to the TV and viewing the menus on the TV and then turning the camcorder off with the power button. I think this problem happened because I didn't do a "clean" shutdown the last time I had my aiptek hooked up to the TV. It is now working perfectly!

Charging battery on new purchase.

i just got this camera today and i was having the same problem. i figured that i would just leave it while i was at work and see if it needed a full charge or something. when i got home, nothing. it would only power on when plugged in. after a little checking and swearing i found that i had put the battery in backwards. it will fit in backwards but will not charge it. the writing on the battery should be visible when it is in place. hope this helps.
