I turned my ipod onto nike +ipod to see what it was
then it just froze when I pressed regular.
Now its frozen on the main screen and won't shut off or respond to anything I press.
Because of this it also will not charge or show up on my itunes when I plug it in.
I plugged my Ipod nano 8GB 3rd generation into a car jack, and when i was finished with it, i pulled it out, ever since then it doesnt work! I've tried everything, I even sent it back, and they said there was water damage, which is clearly not true. My computer doesn't recognize it, and it will not turn on.
All I did was plug my ipod into my computer and my screen froze. The light is still on, I've tryed restoring it but it told me my ipod was corrupted and could not be restored.
Nothing works on it, now my computer doesnt even take it.
What do I do?

once the battery dies completely...plug it to pc (itunes should pop up also) , when itunes comes up check for update of ipod it might need it....this shall stop the ipod from freezing up...have fun and enjoy
Try resetting the ipod while its connected to the computer by holding both the menu and center button at the same time for 6-10 seconds until you see an apple appear on the screen. You may need to repeat the reset. If this fails your looking at a hardware issue most likely. Good Luck.
Try this: Press and hold the wake/sleep button and the home button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple logo should appear on the screen. Release the buttons and it should work like normal. Hope this helps.
You need to reset your ipod. Flip the hold switch on then off, then press select button and menu button at same time. Hold for 10 seconds or so. Ipod should shut off and reboot to apple screen. If this doesn't work first time try again. This should solve any stuck screen problems. Mine was stuck on pioneer screen and this operation fixed it.
Plug it into your computer and use the link in itunes to restore your ipod. This will usually work. If it doesn't, then it is time to contact Apple support to cover your warranty, or take it back to the store.
First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides
back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the
left, here's how you reset:
You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round
button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see
an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will
shut off, then back on.
