Have fitted new black cartridge - is full - but printing very feint - have run clean on print head but no difference - z600 series

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues with your model:

1. On your computer, go to Start menu.
2. Go to Programs.
3. Go to Lexmark 2600 Series folder.
4. Select Lexmark Solution Center.

From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print cartridge nozzles.

Try to clean the print cartridge nozzles. On your computer, open the Lexmark Solution Center by going to the Start menu > Programs / All Programs > Lexmark Z600 Series > click the Maintenance tab > under Select Maintenance tool, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks > click Print. The printer will then print a test page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
If that doesn't help, remove the black cartridge and try to manually wipe the cartridge nozzles with a slightly moistened soft cloth to clean it from dirt and clogs. After wiping the nozzles, reinsert the cartridge into the printer. Print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If the problem continues, try to insert a different known working black cartridge to identify if it's a faulty cartridge issue.

1. I found it much cheaper just to by a new Lexmark Z600 printer than buy refills. The printer only cost $30 and the refill cartridge cost $30, go figure. 2. If you are buying recycled or recycling the cartridge yourself the print head may not be working or may be clogged. The print head is located on the bottom of the cartridge. Clean the cartridge bottom with alcohol and a clean Q-Tip.

Arouse to press cartridge to contact, clean contacts and reinstall driver

it is time to change pinter-head.

For that problem kindly try doing the ff:

* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing
* Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again
* if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead

Hmmmm.... Just a question, is it a brand new cartridge? If it is, it may be dried up.

Do you have a the CD ROM for installing the printer ? You can clean the printer using the instructions suggested. It will ask you to print a test page after cleaning and alignment. The CD ROM gives you all the information.
