Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Kodak 5300 printer

I have only used 2 cartiges and now when I print you cannot see anything. I have changed both the color and bw and still nothing. I cleaned the heades and now am lost on the next step.HELP please

Sounds like new Print Head needed.

Call Kodak Support at 1-800-421-6699. They are excellent.

Kodak esp 5210 wont print black


I figured it out. If you are low on (25%) on either colors or black, then it won't print. Even if you load a new black cartridge and it reads as 100% black, it won't print because it will only print when BOTH cartridges have been replaced and reads 100%.
Same thing happens reversed with color being replaced.
So basically, ALL printers short you 25% ink and FORCE you to buy their ink more often. Kodak is no exception.
I have 100% black and 25% color and a BW only needed text paper won't print. I been through this before. *facepalm*

My kodak easyshare 5300 prints lightly every 3 - 4 lines. New print cartiges do not help.


Have you tired to clean the printhead (deep clean) and also calibrating it? If yes it means the printhead that you are using is damaged, You may call kodak to have a printhead replacement toll free 1 800 421 6699 ext 02. I think their printhead is free of charge.

By the way you may also try to download the latest firmware of your printer at kodak.com/go/downloads

follow the step by step solution from kodak.

Choose All-in-one printer and then Print quality and follow the further steps. I think it's a problem with your printhead.

press the menu button on the printer and go to clean print head and do a basic clean........make sure you are using genuine Kodak ink cartridges as there are retailers selling refilled and look alike.........if you still have same issue then its a print head issue and call kodak tech support they will replace it for you without any charge....let me know if this was helpful.........

Easyshare 5300 only prints in light yellow ink


You should check ink level, probabbly you need to replace some cartiges.

Changed ink cartridges Kodak 5300 print blurry/missing letters


I called Kodak and they are sending me a new printer head at no charge! Can't get any better then that. Man I talked to was very nice, knowledgeable and polite.

hi, regarding your issue, try to reseat the black cart. for it is possible that the cart is just not seated correctly. if issues persist, do a deep clean 2x then try to print again.
you can do a printhead clean by following the steps below:
>press MENU button
>go down to CLEAN PRINTHEAD then press OK
>select DEEP CLEAN then press START
after the 2 deep clean try to print, if you are still having problems call support at 800.421.6699

Print out a demo sheet. Press copy and photo at the same time. If the black isn't printing on this demo sheet, (the eyes on the two kids at the top are all white), you need a new printhead. Your's is probably clogged. contact kodak tech support. 18004216699. Option 1

2-Try a firmware update @ www.kodak.com/go/downloads
3-Try a removal and reinstall of the printhead and inks
