Go to this sony parts site to find out the part number and cost. They can tell you what their cost is. Ask for Part Number so it is easier to find. Generally BM Boards are generic parts that can be used for several different units. I would ask Sony if I were you just to be sure. Average Board cost on any TV Brand New is averaging from $49-199. For a big screen that's pretty cheap for a do-it yourself job. Not worth it to pay a repair person to do though. FYI: Sony likes to reply to inquiries by email. but you can call them too.

Contact Philips directly. They should be able to get you the part, even if they have to get it from another repair shops. Many repair shops purchase their parts from factory authorized distributors, not from the manufacturer. The flyback transformer powers the tube-it can be extremely dangerous to work on-EVEN with the tv off, they contain a lot of power somethjing like 50,000 to 150,00 volts. It is not fun getting shocked by one of these as many techs have been knocked unconcious by them. If you do not know the proper procedure to discharge a flyback then leave it alone!
Something is not right here. Is there any possibility that you can get the circuit designation (Rxxx) of the resistors that were "incorrect"? I am not aware of anything like this that can cause the "memory to be erased". The only memory in that area would be the factory convergence settings which can be modified from the service menu. Please try to supply the resistor IDs and I'll check on this.
you can get the parts at the following link and they provide free online instant messaging for free. or they can rebuild your entire deflection board for just a little more than what the parts cost and guarantee the board for 6 full months. Heres the link. you can leave them a email if you would like more info. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
hello. it sounds like you have a couple of thing wrong.!!! one there is a bad fly back transformer.!!! that's arking on to part of the mother board.!!! that's the sparking sound you hear.!!! two is that you have a BAD GREEN CTR GUN.!!! THAT MIGHT BE WHERE THE FLY BACK IS ARKING ON.!!! THAT'S WHAT MAKE'S THE SCREEN GREEN.!!! IT'S SHORTING THE GREEN CTR GUN OUT .!!! & WHAT EVER YOU DO .!!!! DO NOT TRY TO SEE WHERE IT SHORTING FROM !!!.THE HIGH VOLTAGE FROM THE FLY BACK TRANSFORMER .!!! IS NO JOKE.!!! IT CAN KILL.!!! OR PUT IN THE HOSPITAL.!!! THIS IS NO JOKE.!!! SO LEAVE IT TO A SERVICE REPAIR MAN.!!! PLEASE .!!!THANK YOU.!!! "GOOD LUCK"
You are likely to have a high voltage transformer bad which is common problem for ctc 195 RCA If you look into the back of the tv it is the white square looking thing about 3 inches across by 3 inches with the large red wire coming from it and going back into the set. Must have original RCA part and must be unsoldered and solder in new one. Not to be done by the untrained. Average cost to come out and repair is $250 to $300. depending on the repairman (Note: the chassis is in a complete wooded chipcore box that will come out with quarter inch nutdriver and unplug two plugs at the top of the box The box or chassis can be taken to the repair shop leaving the screen at your home saving a service call. Hope this helps
Im sorry to inform you Deb, that your problem could be a major problem like the high voltage transformer and the horizonyal output transistor could be bad and the transformer is no longer available for these sets or could be a simple cold solder connection on a small coil or something like the flyback transformer. In any case this is a solid state set and has no user replaceable parts inside and should only be serviced by a trained tech. It could be landfill or a simple service call. Good Luck
