Question about Kirby Heritage II Vacuum
How do I replace the fan assembly in my Kirby Heritage 2 vacuum?
Also is there a site where I can download a repair manual?
Take the bag asm. and handle off. Then remove the plastic strip covering the switch, remove the screw there, remove the 3 screws on the housing, turn it over and loosen the screw near the back, the housing should come off. Then remove the screws on the back of the fan casing. You shouild be able to get to the fan, hold the fan and turn the spindle to the right to take off. If it would turn off, then you may have to lock the armature so it can't turn to move it. Then re-asemble in reverse.

I put a vise grip on the disintergrated fan to hold the armature whilst I spun the top locking spindle off, pretty easy stuff

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
