Problems with C110 & A110 Vtech Mirage Dect Home phones

C110 Mirage Vtech Phone (office phone), the problem is it flashes "base 1" continually...Tried re-registering (no success there). I have even change the re-chargeable batteries (again no change). also my A110 extension phone (Lounge area) which is working fine but does occasionally bleep, which is annoying.
What do you recommend, or should I cut my loses at this point and purchase a new set of phones?

Glad of your help or advice please

- Thank you, I think you have helped immensely and the phones C110 & A110 appear to be behaving themselves at the minute, long may they continue. Unfortunately I have gone out and bought iDECT Q1i x 3phones and was in the process of setting these up, loading the phonebook ec, when my Vtech readjusted themselves. Anyhow, my thanks agiain for taking the time to help,,It's appreciated.

Same Problem

Jul 05, 2008

-   I have vtech Mirage C110 and it starts given two beeps then the two tone sounds.

It does this every 10 or 15 minutes.

I have taken the batteries out to stop the noise, and to make sure it was the handset and not the base unit.

I have put the batteries into a separate charger to recharge.

Is the noise because the batteries are too weak?

Other reports suggest that I should re-register the hand set to the base station, or another (fictious?) base station.

Any help appreciated?-   mtwebster

Have strangely got the same problem - about the same time you posted this, but intermitently. I have isolated that the problem is in fact the handset itself, not the base unit. I eliminated a problem with the base unit by a) registering a different DECT phone to it. - The base still works fine. b) Leaving the handset switched off for an hour or so (press and hold the "OK" botton to switch off / on); then whislt it was working, registering the handset to a different base (Base 2). And guess what, after 30 mins the "BASE 2" message started flashing on the faulty handset.
So, if you already have an A110 extension handset, make sure it's also registered to base 1 and maybe try to get just the handset repaired via VTECH. (or just buy a new handset if they are available).
