Hp Printer 5650 Printing Failure My system: Mac 7300 upgraded with MaxPower G3, and a PCL USB & Firewire card. An alternate system tried was a Wallstreet G3 laptop with a USB card. Both systems were running with Mac OS 9.1. After issuing Print command for a 1 page Word document, for example, printer loads paper ready to print; halts with paper moved in to point where top of page is already visible through the top of the translucent cover; all action halts; the Power Light is flashing; the "deskjet 5600" window has already shown: "Connecting to Printer "Deskjet 5600 Please Wait," and halted with "21% Complete Sending Page #1." If Power button is pressed, blank sheet is ejected and power goes off. Self-test gives somewhat similar result except that at end point Resume light flashs; if it is then pressed twice, a sheet prints with, eg: hp deskjet 5600 Series Serial Number: MY5AP5P24H79 Service ID: 1640 FW REvision: PRO3005T Total Engine Page count: 8420 FB Page Count: 0/0 PCL Default Symbol Set: 341 Mfg 0-2: 000B00000000 T val: 224 Error Code: 00000000 (at other times I have seen error codes of: 905D0001; 60000077.) For Hp Inkjet Toolbox: Ink Level: shows 1/2 full for color; almost full for black. Test: Test: gives similar result as in Word document above. Attempts at correcting: Thorough check for any residual paper pieces. Different USB cable. Switch to older cartridges and back again. Uninstall and reinstall software on 7300.

Probably just need a usb a-b printer cable. One side is square-ish with a rounded side and the other end is a regular usb

because of your upgrade you may be using a default driver module. You may have to reinstall the driver for the printer from the installation disk, or download it from the HP website.

open printer and faxes go to printing preference then click printing shortcut there you can see orintation select lanscape apply ok it will work ,Also select page size A4

This printer will not work with a Mac - it has no postscript.

The only laserjet 4's that work with Macs all have an "M" in their name - 4M, 4M Plus etc.

You might be able to get a Postscript personality module for the printer to effectively upgrade it to the "M" version.

Wireless maybe upgraded if you find USB 1.1 wireles b/g wireless adapter, unfortunately you cannot upgrade USBs to 2.0
