Continuous vertical white band display problem

What is the error from installing xp sp3?
Is the white band always there? it is either a problem with the lcd panel most likely, or the graphics card. try a different monitor if you have one.

White 1 inch vertical band on display

just a thought.. Either your Graphics card or your Video Card has gone bad.. unfortunately DELL has a tendency of putting the graphics ON-BOARD and IF the onboard grqaphics card is bad, you'll need to get into the BIOS and turn the onboard graphics off then purchase an after market Graphics driver.. IMPORTANT: make certain that the graphic cars is compatable with the DELL PC OR purchase a less Proprietary system

Very faint vertical bar moving across plasma screen.

OK... Left to Right is weird. I'd say one of two things.
Refresh Rate might be to low or to high, but i doubt this to be the cause. I'll put my money on external interferences. Something like another PC screen? TV? anything magnetic and I've even in some cases noticed PC side panels too close to a screen can cause this.

Sadly, the plasma screen is failing. The green strip is no longer functioning properly and the failures will continue to progress.

If still under warranty, get it exchanged.

Black screen

Hi,

Sounds like a vertical problem if the center line is left to right. Chances are that it's the Vertical IC. If giving the TV a light tap at the sides causes a momentary opening, then it is a cold solder condition on the same IC.

Both of course would require opening the TV and performing the necessary repair. You should be familiar with components and electronic circuitry as well as soldering.  Should you be not that comfortable, perhaps your best bet is to seek the services of a qualified TV technician.

Good luck and kind regards.
