It is possible that there maybe a speaker fault, ut it is equally possiblt that there is a motherboard fault. It would need to be checked by a qualified engineer.

How do I factory reset my Toshiba Tecra A3-s611?

If your computer is new enough to have this option try this ... http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm
Otherwise your computer doesn't have a "recovery partition" (basically a portion of your storage dedicated to being able to restore your computer) and you would require the factory recovery discs. If you have them, when you first turn the computer on and see the "Toshiba" screen press F12, which will allow you to select "CD/DVD", and do so with the first recovery disc inserted in your dvd drive.
If you don't have recovery discs you will need to make or order them, to make them look in your start menu for Toshiba Recovery disk creator and that will guide you through the steps.

Hello

Have you installed the chipset drivers after you reinstalled Windows XP?

If not, you will be able to download the drivers HERE.

Booting failed

You will need to reinstall windows, either with a recovery disc from your computers manufacture or buy a copy of Windows Vista or take it to a PC Repair shop.

Now it will be cheaper if you buy the recover disc, they go for around $40.00 to $60.00. You can do it faster and cheaper by using a recovery CD.

Toshiba screen

There is a remote possibility that the cord connecting from the mainboard to the lcd has jumped of it's socket. It would mean opening the laptop, but worth the try.
If that is not the problem, you will need a new computer.

If by "turned off" you mean with the switch, the wireless adapter itself is probably bad.The cheapest solution is to buy an external wireless adapter.
