You would need a basic multimeter to check continuity of the fuse. Second it will be a surface mount type you probably will not find at radioshack. And will probably be around 3 amps You can probably substitute a pico fuse if room allows.

Your inverter is working or you would not have the light. I suspect the fuse on the LCD panel itself has blown , which is under the metal cover on the lcd panel itself labeled F1 near the input connector has blown. I would check this first.
