Most monitors have adjustments for contrast/brightness, display position, display height and width, and one called pincushion. The last one changes the flatness or curvature of the edge of the display: ( ) ' ' ) (
try factory settings - Press Power to turn screen off - Press and hold Select/Auto - Press Power to turn screen on. LED will be Orange instead of Green - Release Select/Auto - Press Menu - You will see 2 additional options (Factory 1 & Factory 2) - Exit as normal - To return LED to Green, Power off then Power on
To reset colour: - Choose Factory 2 - Choose Auto Color1
hello, please make sure the magicbrite option is not set to "dynamic contrast" as this will change the contrast levels by itself, change the settings by pressing the down arrow touch key on the monitor, change it to any other setting, game mode is blinding on my one (when the monitor works, but thats another story!!!) good luck with samsung customer care centre 0870SAMSUNG (uk)
there is sometimes a subtle change in highlight when you have selected the brightness (or any manual change menu selection) you should then be able to make changes to the selection via the up or down buttons on the monitor
That's pretty funny (apart from the suffering)! It's doing exactly what you asked and displaying nothing to that monitor. Even if you safe-boot, the VGA thing might try to honor the setting (though it shouldn't if you have WinXP SP3.) Booting to a command prompt 'only' from the safe boot choices and importing some regedit settings from another machine's video might just do the trick. (As well might adding a 2nd monitor on some machine and seeing what changes in the registry using a monitor program for that.... Some 'display' key probably contains 'disabled 1' instead of 'disabled 0'.... )
If you can get a LiveCD or bootable USB key of any sort (WinXP, Knoppix, Kevin's Rescue CD, etc.) you can probably just enjoy graphics settings by booting to that, and edit the registry or use WINCONFIG a little more freely than Safe Boot offers.
I have an emachine 17" Flat Panel Monitor and I accidently touched the Standby Mode on my keyboard and now my menu won't work right. I can't adjust the color enough. If there is anything I can do to fix my problem it would be appreciated.
