Even without software the mouse should work for most functions. Forget about the software for now and focus on trying to get the mouse to function. Is there an on/off or power switch on it? how about a small round button to link it with the receiver. Also look for a small round button on the receiver as well and if you find one, press it and press the one of the mouse within 30-seconds of each other.

Hi smgsmg5560, Sorry to hear that. You can try 2 things. 1, use the Windows Update (you have to configure to search updates for windows AND drivers) and then go to Device Manager (right click on my computer - properties - Hardware) and click update driver. 2. - go to the manufacture's website and find out any information about Windows 7. if you have no luck, you will have to replace it. Some companies don't support Windows 7 or will support it in the near future but in the meantime you wont be able to use it. I hope this helps. Please dont forget to rate and provide positive feedback for our fast - free support today. Thank you :D
Vista also has some funny issues w/ updates. try restoring to an earlier day or waiting until all the updates have been installed. Happened w/ my wifes laptop.
If you have a wireless mouse or a USB mouse plug in and get online to find a downloadable driver for your touch-pad. A lot of file adding and shifting with a touch-pad can get the system fragmented (Defragging may help) and driver files, .dll's, and others your touch-pad needs and uses can get buried in the clutter (file fragments) all over the floor so-to-speak. If defragmentation of your hard drive doesn't work just download new drivers. Here is a safe Download link to look in. There is just about everything here, free and safe too... Note that support and development of the Netscape Navigator stopped a few years ago, i.e., it is "dead" software. It would be wise to download and install some other web-browser, such as FireFox, or Google Chrome, or Apple Safari, if you don't want to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser.
