Uninstall AVG. AVG is probably causing your programs not to open. Uninstall it by using "windows installer cleaner"

Norton 360 blocks alot of websites as well, my Mother-in-law had this problem until i Uninstalled Norton360.

if u had a virus infection pobably some file on system32 has ben deleted so windows cant start up just show's the loading bar and thets it

1. Registry keys at your system
2. Activation and continuation mode of anti virus
[delete especially trojan virus]
3. updates of java and flash players
4. blocking of add - on's

and check for opening in chrome / fire fox and be fine

you should probably on install windows updates and ie 8 it probably has a virus

yes its a virus that's blocking explorer
a complete clean xp installation is needed to fix this problem.

Sounds like a hard Drive problem. A virus actually. The Best thing to do if Safe Mode Failed is the Repair Your system, to do this insert your XP CD and wait until it says 'Press any key to boot CD' Press any key and follow instructions to repair windows. If it works, run a virus scan immediately. If Not, take it itno a computer technitian to look at it if you want the stuff on your Hard Drive, of if you feel you don't care too much just wipe the Hard Drive and Re-Install Windows XP. just do the same thing as repair but instead follow the instructions for Installing XP and choose either Clear or Erase Hard drive if you don't want the info or choose don't clrear or Erase if you really want stuff from your hard drive, But run a Virus scan Immediately asap.

u should take it to bestbuy so they check if it has a virus its cost $200 but they clean it good and they install a antivirus sofware so it block virus that are trying to harm ur computer.but the anti virus cost $90 but last all year


i think ur laptop has a virus
