Haier Air conditioner does not turn on

I purchased my 2 units and installed. It first turned on, but after turning off, it will not turn back on. The green light on the plug comes on, telling me there is power, and no problems with my circuit breakers. But the entire unit will not respond when power button is pushed. NO E1 error code nor any other ones. Can anyone help?

-   My A/C doesn't turn on. It was working fine, but due to the weather it had not needed to be turned on. Since it's getting cooler we decided to turn on the heater and it doesn't turn on. We also tried the heater and it still won't turn on. Help! -   jessicag977

-   I was having problems with my Haier A/C staying on, also. My timer was even changing on me. I just purchased it a few days ago, and the instructions were no help. My son decided to play video games on my Toshiba TV and change the brightness, (low and behold), this turned my A/C on and off. Then we found out the volume on the remote to the TV changed the timer on the A/C. We now have a peace of tape over the sensor on the A/C and it works fine now. -   slangridge3

encountered the same problem today. It would seem one of the buttons on the front panel membrane is stuck......play with the buttons till it loosens itself or use the remote if u have one....that worked for me

mine had the same problem.  I got mad and hit it on the top and it just started working.  What a piece of junk
