SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

MY COMPUTER NEEDS MORE RAM,I DONT HAVE ALOT DOWNLOADED,I DONT USE A DISPLAY PICTURE FOR MY DESKTOP AND NO SCREENSAVERS, SO MY QUESTION IS HOW CAN I GET MY COMPUTER TO RUN FASTER UNTIL I CAN PURCHASE RAM?

Hi I recommend using these methods:
1., download and install GameXP from http://www.theorica.net/gamexp.htm, this is a very good system booster
2., download ccleaner and run the registry cleaner part http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
3., go to star > run > msconfig and remove everything unnecessary from Startup
Good luck!

Many Computer Programs "Not Responding".

How much memory do you have? If less than 1GB, that could create a serious bottle neck.

Otherwise, my guess is that there is a process running in the background that is using a lot of CPU cycles....maybe a virus. I would try these things:

A. Update your anti-virus software and do a full scan.
B. Run a free utility like Spybot Search & Destroy to check for malware.
C. Download free programs called "ProcessExplorer" and "AutoRuns" (should be available from Microsoft). ProcessExplorer will show you ALL of the processes running on your computer, and how much resources they are using. Disable the ones you don't need.
AutoRuns shows you all of the software that starts up when you boot your computer. Again, disabling the ones you don't need helps a lot.
D. Defragment your hard drive. I recommend the free Smart Defrag utility from IObit.

You can always get a quick look at what your computer is doing by using CTRL-ALT-DEL; selecting Task Manager; then going to the Processes tab. If you see a process using a bunch of CPU resources, and have nothing running, you might want to research that one.

Good luck!

When I doubleclick on 'my computer' icon, window freezes

Make sure you do not have virus? sounds like virus freezing your windows applications. Scan your computer if there is nothing, reload windows, seems you installed corrupted version or cd.

Thanks for using Fixya

Unable to reinstall windows xp

try it again with the bootable floppy disk... if you have the option use fdisk /mbr and then format the computer and reinstall using the cd you have. the fdisk /mbr command will get rid of any virus residing in your master boot record.
