My SONY DSC-T1 camera display is balck when trying

There may be the issue with the CCD (image sensor device) of the Camera.

Refer this article to confirm this:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DSCT1&news_id=161

Check whether the LCD screen of the Camera looks similar as given on the page.

If yes, click on the "Yes" button at the end of the page to create an online Repair Request for sending the Camera to the Sony Factory Service Center.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cyber-shot DSC-T1 Bad picture on screen

to my understanding,
you can not see clear image in LCD while DSC-T1 is in Camera Mode or camera doesn't take clear picture and can play old pictures clearly.

Is that OK, then it is problem of defective CCD imager in DSC-T1 and this part needs to be replaced.

Sony will repair this problem free of cost as per announced scheme. Click Sony CCD Support to get details.
If you are in Europe, click Sony CCD Europe Support.

Thank you.
